A FEW WORDS ABOUT

NIPPI came out of years of us just traveling, me and Nikki, doing China and the rest of the world our own way. It was personal for a long time, honestly we weren’t trying to turn it into anything, until eventually we wanted to open it up and share it.

Then friends started asking.

Mostly people we knew from school or old jobs, who’d been watching us travel around and got curious what it’d actually take to experience China like that themselves. It felt far off to them, kind of confusing, so they just came straight to us.

So we helped. Sent them routes, tweaked plans around what they actually wanted, passed along whatever we’d picked up from being there ourselves.

Then they told other people.
Friends, friends of friends, sometimes even family.

We never really planned for it to grow, it just did. And at some point we realized we’d built up enough experience, enough of a real feel for the place, that we could actually shape it into something bigger.

That’s how NIPPI happened.

Not your typical travel agency thing. More like a way into China that just feels normal, feels like you, closer to how it’s actually lived instead of how it gets sold to you.
